7. 2004 OSU at UCLA: The Bruins were down — and still are — but still. This was UCLA in the baby blue uniforms on the splendid grass of the Rose Bowl. And the Cowboys dominated, 31-20.

8. 1998 OSU at Kansas: The Bob Simmons era was at its apex after a breakout '97 season; hopes were high, especially if the Cowboys could get a conference road win out of the chute. They did, 38-28.

9. 1969 OSU vs. Arkansas at Little Rock: The Cowboys and Razorbacks played 32 times from 1943-80, but only four games were in Stillwater. Fourteen of those matchups were season openers, the biggest of which came when the Hogs were preseason No. 2 and OSU embarked on the Floyd Gass era, with loads of talent, led by star linemen Jerry Sherk, John Ward and John Little. Arkansas won 39-0.

10. 1995 Nebraska: The Bob Simmons era opened on ESPN Thursday night against an epic team, the '95 Huskers who went on to finish12-0 and beat Florida 62-24 in the Fiesta Bowl. OSU fell by about the same score, 65-21.
