The Oklahoma Mesonet station at Hinton was below freezing for 258 hours

The Oklahoma Mesonet station at Hinton ended up hitting 33.1 degrees at 10:35 a.m. today to finally climb above freezing. They were below freezing 258 hours, officially, according to Gary McManus, State Climatologist, Oklahoma Climatological Survey.

The longest Oklahoma Mesonet streak of hours below freezing goes to Vinita and Miami. Those Mesonet sites hold the top two spots in the all-time consecutive hours below freezing record (temperature data goes back to 1997) at 282.3 and 260.6 hours, respectively.
