Homemade ice cream bragging rights are on the line this weekend as 50

contestants bring their icy-cold creations to the State Fair of Oklahoma at 1 p.m. Saturday for judging at center stage in the the Hobbies, Arts & Crafts Building.

The Oklahoman "Best Scoop'' Homemade Ice Cream Contest will award $300 each to first-place winners in two classes as well as engraved ice cream scoops, ribbons and medallions. Second-place winners will receive $200 each, and $100 will go to those placing third.
