Kina Boone, Choctaw
The story: A strong player the last two years, Boone closed her career with the best finish of any metro-area player at the Class 6A state tournament, tying for fifth with a 76, while her team took fourth overall.
Player of the Year
Caroline Goodin, Deer Creek
The story: Goodin, who has signed with Oklahoma City University, won four times and never finished outside the top five in nine tournaments. She was especially strong late in the year, winning the Suburban Conference and 5A west regional before finishing runner-up at state to lead her team to the title.
Brinn Fariss, Edmond Santa Fe
The story: Her 67 to win her Class 6A regional announced her presence as one of the metro area's top young players. The daughter of former Major Leaguer Monty Fariss, Brinn tied for 10th at the state tournament.
Alexis Sadeghy, Bishop McGuinness
The story: Making her third appearance on the All-City first team, Sadeghy has finished in the top three at state three straight times. This year, she won three tournaments, including a 5A regional, and never finished worse than third, with a stroke average of 75.9. The highly recruited junior hopes to make her college decision in the summer.
Allison Sell, Edmond North
The story: Sell finished strong to cap her career that included the 2012 Class 6A state title. She tied for 10th at state last month and plans to stay close for college, having signed with Oklahoma Christian.
Coach of the Year
Glen Floyd, Deer Creek
The story: The Antlers peaked at the right time to close the season strong to win the Suburban Conference, regional and state tournaments. Especially impressive overcoming a rough start at state to rally for the Class 5A title.
