Class: Junior

The story: The junior, who is also a track star, scored 10 goals for the Wolves, who advanced to the Class 6A quarterfinals.


Fraol Legesse, U.S. Grant

Position: Forward

Class: Senior

The story: The Oklahoma Christian signee scored 18 goals and had six assists for the Generals, who were a 6A playoff team.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Brandon Little Axe, Norman North

Position: Forward

Class: Senior

The story: Little Axe, who has signed to play college soccer at Oklahoma Christian, scored 22 goals this season. He scored both of the unbeaten Timberwolves' goals in their 2-1 overtime win over Tulsa Union in the Class 6A title game.

Ryan Ross, Newcastle

Position: Forward

Class: Senior

The story: Ross scored 17 goals and had five assists as a senior. For his career, he scored 36 goals.

Ray Frazier, Mount St. Mary

Position: Midfielder

Class: Senior

The story: His coach calls him the “best player ever” at Mount St. Mary. He scored 11 goals and led the Rockets to the 4A state championship.
