Class 2A was another class with a hefty number of losses in the top 10. However, since three of the losing teams were facing opponents from larger classes, the movement wasn’t dramatic.

Defending 2A champion Oklahoma Christian held its spot at No. 3 after a 14-13 loss to Class 3A No. 7 Metro Christian. Stroud and Frederick each dropped a spot, with losses to 3A Chandler and 4A Cache, respectively. And Alva fell out from the ninth spot after losing to Class A No. 3 Thomas.

Nowata moved into the poll and the rest of the teams held their ground in The Oklahoman’s latest Class 2A top 10:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Millwood, 1-0 (1)
2. Davis, 1-0 (2)
3. OCS, 0-1 (3)
4. Vian, 1-0 (4)
5. Hennessey, 1-0 (5)
6. Commerce, 1-0 (8)
7. Stroud, 0-1 (6)
8. Frederick, 0-1 (7)
9. Adair, 1-0 (10)
10. Nowata, 1-0 (NR)
Dropped out: Alva (9)
