The Oklahoman's Class 2A rankings: Lindsay enters the top 10

With Lindsay’s big win over Washington, the Leopards jumped into the Class 2A top 10 for the first time this season.

Lindsay had been climbing closer and closer to the top 10 prior to Friday’s victory, bouncing back from an 0-2 start against a pair of 3A teams, Purcell and No. 1 Blanchard.

Since then, the Leopards have been mostly dominant in seven games against 2A competition, with only one game decided by less than 23 points.

Lindsay’s entrance into the poll was the only significant change this week, with the other nine teams in the top 10 adding victories in the final week of the regular season. Here’s how The Oklahoman’s Class 2A top 10 stands:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Millwood, 10-0 (1)
2. Davis, 10-0 (2)
3. Vian, 10-0 (3)
4. Hennessey, 9-1 (4)
5. Commerce, 10-0 (5)
6. Meeker, 10-0 (6)
7. Adair, 9-1 (7)
8. Chisholm, 9-1 (9)
9. Hartshorne, 8-2 (10)
10. Lindsay, 7-2 (NR)
Dropped out: Washington, 7-2 (8)
