The Oklahoman's Class 3A rankings: Beggs grabs a spot in the poll

Class 3A lacked excitement in terms of anything to shake up the top 10 poll. Heritage Hall lost at Class 4A No. 2 Clinton, but that’s not the type of loss that deserves punishment at this point.

Beggs has earned its way into the top 10 with a pair of solid wins over Bristow and Sequoyah-Tahlequah, bumping Sequoyah-Claremore out of the 10th spot following a loss to Sallisaw.

Otherwise, everything held steady in the top 10 after a week with quite a few easy victories by the top teams.

Here’s how The Oklahoman’s Class 3A top 10 looks after Week 2:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Blanchard, 2-0 (1)
2. Kingfisher, 2-0 (2)
3. Seminole, 2-0 (3)
4. Heritage Hall, 1-1 (4)
5. Victory Christian, 2-0 (5)
6. Cushing, 2-0 (6)
7. Metro Christian, 2-0 (7)
8. Plainview, 2-0 (8)
9. Tuttle, 1-1 (9)
10. Beggs, 2-0 (NR)
Dropped out: Seq.-Claremore, 1-1 (10)
