There were no changes in the top 10 of Class 3A this week, but Newcastle keeps trying to make it happen.

So far, the Racers have been the only team to hold No. 1 Blanchard below 40 points, giving the Lions their closest game of the year, 28-7, and Newcastle played No. 8 Tuttle to a 3-point game a couple weeks ago. Now, the Racers have knocked off previously ranked Heritage Hall, giving the resume a little more clout.

But for this week, there’s no movement in the 3A poll, with all of the top 10 teams winning yet again. Since Locust Grove took the 10th spot in the poll in Week 4, there hasn’t been a single change in the top 10 of Class 3A.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s Class 3A poll:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Blanchard, 6-0 (1)
2. Kingfisher, 6-0 (2)
3. Seminole, 6-0 (3)
4. Victory Christian, 6-0 (4)
5. Cushing, 6-0 (5)
6. Metro Christian, 6-0 (6)
7. Plainview, 6-0 (7)
8. Tuttle, 5-1 (8)
9. Hilldale, 5-1 (9)
10. Locust Grove, 6-0 (10)
Dropped out: None
