The Oklahoman's Class 6A rankings: Norman North, Edmond North enter poll as playoffs begin

Week 10 losses by Southmoore and Bixby opened up a couple spots in the Class 6A top 10, and Norman North and Edmond North were there to capitalize.

Norman North been in and out of the poll, but earned the No. 9 spot this week ahead of Edmond North by virtue of the head-to-head win over the Huskies in Week 7. With Edmond North grabbing the No. 10 spot, it sets up a top-10 Edlam playoff showdown. Hard to get much bigger than that.

Westmoore holds its spot at No. 5, right behind Broken Arrow, after the Jaguars lost to BA 20-10 last Friday. With their only losses to Jenks and Broken Arrow, the Jags still deserve a top-10 spot.

Here’s how The Oklahoman’s Class 6A top 10 stands as the playoffs arrive:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Jenks, 10-0 (1)
2. Tulsa Union, 8-2 (2)
3. Lawton, 10-0 (3)
4. Broken Arrow, 8-2 (4)
5. Westmoore, 8-2 (5)
6. Edmond Memorial, 6-3 (8)
7. Midwest City, 7-2 (9)
8. Tulsa Washington, 6-3 (10)
9. Norman North, 7-3 (NR)
10. Edmond North, 6-4 (NR)
Dropped out: Bixby, 6-4 (6); Southmoore, 6-4 (7)
