With an upset of previously eight-ranked Garber, Merritt earned its spot in the top 10 this week, bumping Garber out.

But the competition for those bottom spots is getting strong, waiting for someone to come through with a big win or two.

Otherwise it was a routine week among the top 10 teams of Class B.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s Class B poll:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Laverne, 4-0 (1)
2. Wetumka, 4-0 (2)
3. Rejoice Christian, 4-0 (3)
4. Alex, 4-0 (4)
5. Pond Creek-Hunter, 4-0 (5)
6. Fox, 3-1 (6)
7. Dewar, 3-1 (7)
8. Davenport, 3-1 (9)
9. Coyle, 3-1 (10)
10. Merritt, 4-0 (NR)
Dropped out: Garber, 3-1 (8)
