The Oklahoman's Class B rankings: Upset shakes up the poll

With three games matching top 10 teams, the Class B rankings were in for some movement this week. It didn’t shuffle as much as it potentially could have, but with the loss by previous No. 2 Fox, Alex was in line for a bump up.

Alex could have gone higher than No. 4, but a couple of the teams ahead of them had already collected some pretty significant wins as well.

At the bottom of the poll, Davenport and Coyle held onto the last two spots following losses to ranked foes. There are a few unbeaten teams lurking who could overtake them, but right now, Davenport and Coyle have accomplished more.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s new Class B top 10:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Laverne, 3-0 (1)
2. Wetumka, 3-0 (3)
3. Rejoice Christian, 3-0 (4)
4. Alex, 3-0 (6)
5. Pond Creek-Hunter, 3-0 (5)
6. Fox, 2-1 (2)
7. Dewar, 2-1 (7)
8. Garber, 3-0 (8)
9. Davenport, 2-1 (9)
10. Coyle, 2-1 (10)
Dropped out: None
