Class B has produced some of the most entertaining matchups of the season, in any class. And this week’s win by unranked Keota over previously No. 7 Dewar is a great example of that.

In Week 2, Davenport beat Keota by 30 points. Three weeks later, Dewar beat Davenport by nine. And last Friday, Keota beat Dewar by 20. Don’t roll that around in your head too long without some ibuprofen.

It certainly makes the ranking process tricky, but here’s how it shook out.

Keota, which has only one loss — the aforementioned defeat by Davenport — moves into the poll for the first time this season at No. 8.

Dewar, now with a 6-3 record, falls to No. 10, knocking Davenport out of the poll. That was the toughest choice of all, but here’s why Dewar got the advantage: First off, Dewar has played a tougher schedule, with Rejoice Christian as a non-district game, so the third loss is excusable. Against district opponents, there are not significant differences, except for the Keota game. Against other district opponents, Dewar has a better scoring margin.

So ultimately, this decision had to be made on the field. And with the head-to-head win, Dewar hung onto the 10th spot, while Davenport drops out.

Here’s The Oklahoman’s Class B top 10:

Rank, Team, Record (Prev.)
1. Laverne, 9-0 (1)
2. Wetumka, 9-0 (2)
3. Pond Creek-Hunter, 9-0 (3)
4. Rejoice Christian, 8-0 (4)
5. Alex, 9-0 (5)
6. Fox, 8-1 (6)
7. Coyle, 7-1 (8)
8. Keota, 8-1 (NR)
9. Central Marlow, 7-2 (9)
10. Dewar, 6-3 (7)
Dropped out: Davenport, 7-2 (10)
