The Porthole burns in a fire in Oklahoma City early Friday

Firefighters report $190,000 damage to The Porthole in a Friday morning fire.

10:55 a.m. The cause of the fire at The Porthole is undetermined and the damage estimate is $190,000, fire Maj. Tammy McKinney said.

5:45 a.m. Fire damaged The Porthole about 4:30 a.m. Friday just east of N Portland Avenue on NW 39.

“When our crews arrived we had heavy flames showing,” said fire Battalion Chief Mike Walker. “Crews were able to extend a couple of attack lines and get a quick knockdown on the fire.”

Investigators are on the way to try to determine a cause. No one was injured. The bar was closed at the time of the fire, Walker said.

5:30 a.m. Oklahoma City firefighters responded to The Porthole at NW 39 and N Portland Avenue about 4:30 a.m. where the bar was on fire.

There is no cause or damage estimate yet known, said fire Battalion Chief Mike Walker.
