The publisher of The Oklahoman has been named to the board of directors for the United Way of Central Oklahoma.
Chris Reen, who also serves as president of OPUBCO Communications Group, has been selected to serve a three-year term, the United Way announced Wednesday.
Several other new board members also were announced.
New executive officers to the board are: Secretary/Treasurer Shane Wharton, of Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Rick Bott of Continental Resources.
Selected to serve three-year terms are: Michelle Coppedge, of the Federal Aviation Administration; Jack Golsen, of LSB Industries; Doug Lawler, of Chesapeake Energy Corp.; and Kris Rogers, of Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores.
Selected for one-year terms are: Lewis LeNair, of Gable Law; and Jean Leger Jr., of Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co.
