On Monday, I blogged about Serge Ibaka’s place on’s #NBArank. Ibaka was rated the 39th-best player in the NBA. The next day, Kevin Durant sent out this tweet:

I won’t dare take credit for Durant voicing his opinion on player rankings, but Durant’s tweet did bring up an interesting argument on how qualified, if at all, the media is to rank players. In other news:

Oregon is getting crazy with its uniforms again, this time for a good cause.

Grambling State’s entire football team skipped practice on Wednesday in protest.

West Virginia quarterback Ford Childress is reported to be out for the season.

Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan is retiring as Texas Rangers CEO. So is Allen Iverson (officially) from the NBA.

And (FANTASY FOOTBALL ALERT) former Houston Cougars quarterback Case Keenum is stepping in for Matt Schaub as the starter for the Houston Texans.
