The State Chamber of Oklahoma has formed a partnership with the Insurica Insurance Management Network and certified workplace medical plan provider CompCHOICE to roll out a new workers' compensation program for its members.

Oklahoma employers pay some of the highest workers' compensation insurance premiums in the country, said Fred Morgan, president and CEO of the State Chamber. The Chamber is advocating for legislation this session that would eliminate Oklahoma's workers' compensation court system and switch to an administrative system.

The new ChamberSMART workers' insurance program that the Chamber plans to offer to its members will also help businesses in the state lower their costs, Morgan said.

“The high cost of workers' compensation insurance is one of the things we hear about over and over from our members,” Morgan said. “We need to make sure employers know how to lower their costs and this is a new tool that we are giving them.”

The program will be available exclusively to state chamber members. ChamberSMART includes a risk management program, medical care and cost control measures aimed at reducing insurance premiums for businesses enrolled in the program.
