The tap takeover to end all tap takeovers?

by Nick Trougakos Published: January 22, 2014

If you’ve been living under a rock today and haven’t been dialed in to your beer social media, you should know this: the latest batch of Prairie Bomb! has hit liquor stores shelves. Several stores around the state have posted on social media that they have it in stock. So, proceed accordingly.

Now, while that news will be exciting to many Prairie fans, what looks like some even bigger news started circulating yesterday afternoon:

TapWerks Ale House will host a Prairie Tap Takeover on Feb. 27, and it promises to be a doozy.

Check out the expected lineup:

-Pirate Bomb!

-Prairie Noir

-Vanilla Noir

-Pirate Noir

-Prairie Ale

-Prairie Gold

-Funky Galaxy

-The Beer That Saved Christmas

TapWerks announced that the event will include 15 taps, so that would mean more beers in addition to those on the above list. Prairie co-founders Chase and Colin Healey are both expected to attend.

Pints and Pins

-Reminder that this Thursday night is the Yeastie Boys Brew Club meeting at the Learn to Brew north location on May Avenue. Special guests will be the guys from Anthem Brewing.

-TapWerks’ regular Thursday pint night is tomorrow at 6 p.m. The beer is St. Bernardus ABT 12. The following week, Jan. 30, will be a Green Flash Tap Takeover. More pint nights: Warsteiner on Feb. 6 and Unibroue on Feb. 13.
