Jamie Rose Bolin was a red-haired, freckled fifth-grader who lived with her dad, Curtis Bolin, in their Purcell apartment. Her parents are divorced.
Her dad said, "She loved everybody she met."
Her mother, Jennifer Fox, a long-haul truck driver, called her "my little Strawberry Shortcake," after the doll.
She was born Aug. 7, 1995, in Edmond. She had lived in Purcell the past year, coming from Dibble. She was a tomboy and liked the country song, "Jesus, Take The Wheel," which was played at her funeral.
She was a Junior Girl Scout. She was remembered at her funeral as a girl who "enjoyed singing, sewing, riding four wheelers and watching movies." Her favorite color was green.
