Here are just a few programs of note on this week’s television schedule:
- The two-night “The Voice” Season 4 finale features Muskogee natives The Swon Brothers as they perform as one of the three finalists on the two-hour live performance episode, airing from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 17, and then the live two-hour finale, airing from 8 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, will reveal the winner.
- On the Friday, June 21 episode of “Katie,” airing at 2 p.m. on KOCO-TV, the title is “What Ever Happened To…?” and one of the people included has Oklahoma ties. Here is the summary, provided by “Katie”: Katie finds out what happened to Lorena Bobbitt and the people behind the most talked about headlines! Where is O.J. Simpson prosecutor Chris Darden now, and how has Ron Goldman’s family coped in the last 20-years? And, meet the Oklahoma fireman behind one of the most iconic photos in American history.
- No matter how much you’ve heard about the Jodi Arias case, the Lifetime movie “Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret” is no less disturbing to watch. Arias is still awaiting sentencing in the Phoenix murder trial in which she was convicted of killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. The movie, airing at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 22, portrays the pair’s relationship from the time they met until his murder and concludes with scenes of the trial. Tania Raymonde (“Lost”) delivers a chilling performance as Arias.
- KWTV-9 reporter Adrianna Iwasinski is among the competitors in the new ABC series “Whodunnit?” which premieres at 8 p.m. Sunday, 23. “Whodunnit?” pits 13 amateur sleuths against each other in this interactive mystery reality competition featuring a grand prize of $250,000. If you’re a fan of reality contest shows and/or the board game “Clue,” you should check it out.
