Oklahoma City police have released surveillance video of a man stealing a car from a convenience store parking lot.

Police were called about 12:55 p.m. Sunday to 2909 SW 15 in reference to a stolen vehicle. Ralph Anderson told police he stepped out of his vehicle and left the car running while he went into the store, according to the incident report.

The surveillance video shows a man get out of a black Dodge pickup near Anderson's car. A woman in the pickup passenger seat slides over and drives away as the man gets into the car.

Anderson said he saw a bald, white man with a little facial hair get into the driver's seat of his car and drive away, according to the report.

The surveillance video shows Anderson chasing after the car and nearly being hit.

The stolen car is a 1971 Plymouth Satellite with a new green paint job and baby moon rims, according to the report.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 325-7300.
