•Defense: The first-team defense limited the first-team offense to 254 yards, 12 first downs and 3.8 yards a play in last week's scrimmage. Since defensive starters will be divided on the two squads, can the defense close out a solid spring with a good showing even though second-teamers will be playing key roles?

•Backup QB job: Even though coach Mike Gundy has said the backup quarterback competition will continue into the first two weeks of fall camp, Alex Cate or Brandon Weeden could get a leg up on the No. 2 job with a strong showing today.
•Wide receivers: Eight receivers are vying for playing time. Dez Bryant is a lock to start. Damian Davis has all but nailed down a starting berth. Josh Cooper and Bo Bowling are the odds-on favorites to share the slot receiver job. Jeremy Broadway, Hubert Anyiam, Will Cole and DeMarcus Conner should be in the mix.
•Running backs:Kendall Hunter and Beau Johnson probably will alternate in the season opener against Washington State. They will be on opposite rosters today. The only other two running backs in spring camp are walk-ons Michael Roberts and Melvin Davis, who have ran well at times.
