Q: What can your fans expect from the concert?
A: Well, I feel like it’s a great night of music. It’s something for the whole family. There’s some great loud rock songs for young people, but I’ve found that you don’t have to be young to like loud rock music. There’s also some worship-oriented songs for church people and some slower acoustic numbers for the older folks. We have a great opening act called Glory Revealed that is kind of Americana acoustic music that I think people are going to be excited about.
Q: How is the tour going?
A: We’ve had great response. Tickets are selling well, especially in this economy. We’re giving our fans a kind of new show. We actually spent time rehearsing for this tour, which we never do; not because we don’t need it but because we’re constantly playing shows throughout the year, that is our rehearsal. But this one we really took time out of our schedule to work on some new things and rework some old things, and I think that’s going to show through to our fans.
Q: Why "Revelation?”
A: It comes from the name of our album (released in July 2008). It really is a message about how all of us have been in a place where we don’t have all the answers. We feel like when you’re going down that road and you hit that dead end, that’s really a time to turn to God and seek strength and peace and wisdom through prayer and faith.
Q: Explain the success of "Call My Name,” the album’s lead single.
A: Being a Christian band, it’s important to us to have a very clear message, ... but you can’t get to that message unless you have good music. ... So I think there’s a good sound with that song. It’s not too rocking, and yet it’s something that you want to whistle back. That draws people in to the message of knowing that when we’re going through a struggle or a hard time, we don’t have to be alone.
Q: What about the Come Together Fund?
A: For every ticket that is purchased, $1 will go into a fund that will help many ministries and many people in many different situations whether it be
Habitat for Humanity to help build houses for low income families or
World Vision, helping people all over the world in poverty with food, water and medicine or it might be a local ministry. There are many great things that are going to be happening because of our fans coming out to the shows.
