A third suspect in the Jan. 17 shooting death of Donte Deshawn McCarther was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Alfonzo Dwight Hamilton, 36, was arrested without incident about 5 p.m. in the 5900 block of S Lee, Oklahoma County sheriff's spokesman Mark Myers said.
Hamilton was wanted in connection with the killing at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of N Council Road. Officers found McCarther lying dead near a breezeway.
The homicide is being investigated by the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Hamilton, who goes by the nickname “Smoke,” also had three unrelated warrants for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and second-degree burglary.
McCarther, 21, died of multiple gunshot wounds. Two other men also have been arrested in connection with his death — Lawrence W. Bartlett, 27, and Brandon Dawson, 20.
Hamilton is being held without bail in the Oklahoma County jail.
