This week in high school sports: Stillwater, Jenks to meet to settle district

Stillwater vs. Jenks

When: Monday and Tuesday

Where: Stillwater (Mon.); Jenks (Tues.)

The story: This matchup settles the state’s deepest district. Stillwater has a chance to host a regional based on the result. A win and the Pioneers increase their chances, possibly sending Jenks or Owasso on the road, though it could ultimately come down to total runs scored. The matchup also features a few of the state's top players, including Oklahoma State signee Jon Littell.

Soccer

Edmond Santa Fe at Norman

When: Tuesday

Where: Norman High

The story: The 8 p.m. boys game is the prime-time matchup between No. 6 Norman and the 10th-ranked Wolves. Both are 5-1 in district play with the No. 2 playoff spot in District 6A-1 going to the winner. In the girls game, Norman is a game back in the standings, and could jump into second in the district with an upset of No. 12 Santa Fe.
