Campus location: Waco, Texas

Enrollment: 14,800

Nickname: Bears

Conference: Big 12

Record: 7-4 overall, 4-3 Big 12

Best player: Quarterback Robert Griffin has passed for almost 3,000 yards and 20 TDs and is the No. 1 reason why Baylor is bowl eligible for the first time since 1994.

Last game: The Bears generated more first downs and outgained Texas A&M, but they were outscored 21-0 in the fourth quarter as the Aggies rallied for the 42-30 victory in Waco.

Last meeting with OU: Oct. 10, 2009, vs. Baylor turned out to be the last time Sam Bradford played a game at Owen Field. Bradford, injured for the season the following week in the Cotton Bowl, threw for 389 yards and a TD, leading the Sooners to a 33-7 win over the Bears.

Why they could win: Led by Griffin, Baylor boasts a high-powered offense that has put up at least 28 points in all but one game this season. Plus, OU is 0-2 in Big 12 road games.

Why they could lose: The Bears haven't played much defense lately, giving up 55 and 42 points the last two weeks. Landry Jones, Ryan Broyles and DeMarco Murray should all be in for big days.
