Thousands honor Wayman Tisdale at service

TULSA — By all accounts, and there are many, Wayman Tisdale celebrated life to the max. Thursday in his hometown of Tulsa, an eclectic cross-section of family, friends, athletes, musicians, religious leaders and fans celebrated his life. Several thousand gathered at the BOK Center for a service that had little feel of a funeral for Tisdale, who died last Friday at the age of 44 due to complications from cancer. ...
