Three arrested in shooting of two Fittstown men

One man is dead and other seriously injured in a shooting authorities think started over a woman. Three Connerville residents were arrested.

Anyone with information about the shooting can call the Johnston County sheriff's office at (580) 371-2691.

Johnston County Sheriff Tom Winkler said Luke Inslee, 27, of Fittstown, was killed Sunday evening and his brother Jake Inslee, 30, of Fittstown was wounded. The shooting occurred at 301 W Third Street in Connerville.

Police arrested three people.

Anthony Duke, 25, of Connerville, was in the Johnston County jail on complaints of first-degree murder, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a house frequented for drug use. Doyle Hamby, 66, was arrested on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill. Both men were being held without bail.

Amber Tover, 24, was arrested on complaints of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a house frequented for drug use. She was free on $10,000 bail.

Charges have not been filed.

Along with three guns, police found what they identified as a pound of marijuana along with scales and other drug paraphernalia, Capt. Johnny Russell said.

Russell said Tover is the common-law wife of Duke.

Russell said all involved appeared to have been drunk.
