Three people died Monday afternoon after suffering injuries in a head-on collision in Choctaw, the Oklahoma County sheriff’s office reported.

Gene Pruett, 82; Deloris Pruett, 70; and Chad Condrey, 40.

The crash occurred about 1:15 p.m. Monday. Gene Pruett was driving a vehicle in the westbound lane of NE 23 near N McDonald Road with his wife, Deloris Pruett, as a passenger, said Mark Myers, Oklahoma County sheriff’s office spokesman.

Gene Pruett’s vehicle went left of center and hit a vehicle driven by Condrey in the far eastbound lane. The Pruetts and Condrey died at the scene, Myers said.

Condrey’s passenger, Tyler Condrey, 20, was taken to OU Medical Center in critical condition.

Choctaw police and Oklahoma County deputies are investigating the accident.
