Three die in crashes on Oklahoma roadways

Two people died in a crash on the Chickasaw Turnpike near Roff in Pontotoc County late Monday, and a third was killed in a motorcycle wreck Tuesday morning on Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Three people have died in accidents on Oklahoma roadways, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Tuesday morning in Oklahoma City, a fatal motorcycle wreck caused the inside westbound lane of Interstate 44 at N Lincoln Boulevard to be closed, the patrol said. The wreck happened about 10:45 a.m. and one person was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol reports.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation. The patrol has not released the name of the person who died.

Late Monday, two people died on the Chickasaw Turnpike in Pontotoc County, the patrol reports.

The crash was a half mile north of the Dolberg Road overpass about a mile west of Roff. The northbound and southbound lanes of the turnpike were closed from about 11:20 p.m. until about 3:10 a.m., the patrol reports.
