Four people died in crashes on state roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Alberto Diaz-Cortes, 29, Heavener
About 5:50 a.m. Saturday, Diaz-Cortes was driving north on U.S. 59 north of Heavener, when her car was struck head-on by a car driven by Jose Silva, 28, of Heavener, that crossed the centerline, troopers said. Diaz-Cortes died at the scene.
Silva was taken to a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital in critical condition. Three passengers also were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Anika Miles, 41, Tulsa
Shortly before 11 p.m. Friday, Miles was driving west in the eastbound lane of N 76 Street in Tulsa. Her vehicle crashed head-on into a pickup driven by Beau Wells, of Owasso, troopers said.
Miles died at the scene. Wells was taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition, troopers said.
James Betchan, 70, Covington
About 9:45 p.m. Friday, Betchan was headed north on Interstate 35, just north of Perry, when his pickup went off the road and into a ditch, troopers said. Betchan died at the scene.
Corrine McLaud, 81, Dustin
About 12:40 p.m. Friday, McLaud was driving west on State Highway 84, near Weleetka, when her car went off the roadway and struck a tree.
McLaud died about 6 p.m. at a Henryetta hospital, troopers said.
