Three RedHawks players have been selected for the Triple-A All-Star Game.
Pitcher Nick Tropeano, shortstop Gregorio Petit and catcher Max Stassi will represent Oklahoma City on the Pacific Coast League All-Star team, which will face the International League All-Stars.
All three have been with the RedHawks all season. Selections are made by the PCL office, and players not currently on a Triple-A roster are not eligible.
Going into Thursday night’s games, the 23-year-old Tropeano ranks third in the PCL with a 2.38 ERA. He has six wins and 81 strikeouts.
Petit is hitting .401 with nine home runs and 38 RBIs. He led the team in the month of June with a .370 average.
Stassi is batting .237 with six home runs and 32 RBIs, and has committed only one error behind the plate this season.
The Triple-A All-Star Game will be played at 6 p.m. July 16 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C. It will be broadcast on MLB Network (Cox 264) and on KGHM-AM 1340.
