Three Oklahoma companies are once again on Fortune magazine's employee-driven list of the best places to work.

QuikTrip Corp., Chesapeake Energy Corp. and Devon Energy Corp. retained their places on the annual 100 Best Companies to Work For list, which was unveiled Thursday morning.

Tulsa-based QuikTrip, which operates more than 670 convenience stores in 11 states, has been on the list for 12 straight years. It ranked No. 48 this year.

Oil and natural gas producers Chesapeake and Devon have been on the list for the past seven years.

Chesapeake is No. 51 on this year's list.

“This recognition is a direct reflection of the talent of our employees,” CEO Doug Lawler said. “To be a great place to work, Chesapeake must first be a great business.

“Our employees remain dedicated to achieving both.”

Devon ranked No. 56.

“We have always believed the strength of our company originates with the people who work here,” CEO John Richels said. “Our presence on the Fortune list continues to be a great honor in which we all take an enormous amount of pride. But more importantly, it affirms the quality of our corporate culture, the values of our organization and the foundation of our business.”

Fortune partnered with the Great Place to Work Institute to compile the list, which is based on extensive employee surveys at 257 companies. More than 250,000 employees were surveyed.
