Can Shattuck add another title?

Can Shattuck repeat with new coach Seth Mills?

The short answer is yes. Former coach Troy Bullard built a legitimate program and didn't leave the cupboard bare for Mills. The Indians return plenty of offensive weapons, and more importantly, they know how to win. Last year, they thrived in that underdog role we've rarely seen them in.

Class B champion Caddo is now in Class A and Class A runner-up Woodland is in Class B. Does that make Woodland the gold ball favorite?

No, but they are instantly in the discussion for the championship. Coach Joe Sindelar won multiple eight-man championships at Morrison, and he has a strong junior class to work with this season. Teams like Laverne and runner-up Davenport will be huge obstacles.

Who is the best eight-man player?

Pond Creek-Hunter quarterback Zach Rayner threw for nearly 1,900 yards and 21 touchdowns last season, while completing almost 65 percent of his passes. He has the size and makeup of a big-time player. If he puts up numbers anywhere close to that this season, Pond Creek-Hunter could make a deep playoff run.
