OU defensive end Jeremy Beal spent a lot of Saturday night in the OSU backfield. Then he talked with The Oklahoman's John Helsley:
How hard was it chasing OSU quarterback Zac Robinson?
“He's a great athlete. He made us miss and he made some great plays just scrambling for first downs. I counted three or four plays where he did that. It was hard to keep him in the pocket.”
Did you guys do what you needed to do to secure the South spot in the Big 12 title game?
“We try not to think about the BCS and all of that. We know we needed to win and that was our whole mindset going into the game. Not about next week or the week after that, just playing hard and trying to win the game.”
What will (today) be like and what will you do?
“It's going to be interesting. It's up to the voters. It's out of our hands. Hopefully, we'll get in. I think we made a good case today.
“I may check on the Internet once or twice, take a little peek at it. But I've got to catch up on some homework and reading. That's what I need to do.”
