Three Sooners among 32 invitees to try out for 2013 USA National Team

This week ASA Hall of Fame Stadium is showcasing the Women’s College World Series.

Next week, it will be the site for the tryouts for the 2013 USA Softball National Team. The camp will take place between June 10 and 12.

Three Sooners were among the 32 invitees. Only 17 will make the roster.

The event will be open to the public, as well as live streamed on www.USASoftball.com.

Fans in the United States will get an opportunity to see the team in action as they look to defend their 2012 Gold Medal at the World Cup of Softball VIII, July 11- 14, in Oklahoma City. For ticket information click here.

Following the World Cup, the Women’s National Team is slated to compete July 16-22 at the Canadian Open Fast Pitch International Championship in Surrey, B.C., Canada and August 5-18 at an International Softball Federation (ISF) Women’s World Championship/Pan American Games qualifier in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
