THUMBS UP

To the NCAA for not having a playoff system in football. If a playoff system were in place, we wouldn’t have the do-or-die weekends we’ve had for several weeks. One-loss teams wouldn’t be clawing for a shot at the national title. Teams with two losses would still be alive. This way is better.

THUMBS DOWN

To Oklahoma State football fans. This is not directed at the 46,718 who showed up against Iowa State. It’s for the 13,282 who didn’t. Of this week’s Top-25 BCS teams who played home games last weekend, guess who had the smallest crowd? This is how you pay tribute to a great team?
