OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma City Thunder have hired Maz Trakh to fill an opening on their coaching staff.

The Thunder announced Tuesday that assistants Maurice Cheeks, Rex Kalamian, Mark Bryant and Brian Keefe will return for another season with the team. Trakh will fill a player development role.

Trakh brings experience as a former head coach of the Yakima Sun Kings of the Continental Basketball Association and as a former college assistant coach. Most recently, he has spent the last five seasons coaching in Asian pro leagues.

Oklahoma City head coach Scott Brooks says he has known Trakh "for a long time and he brings a wealth of basketball experience."
