Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat was arguably the most-anticipated sporting event in Oklahoma history. To say the Thunder Bandwagon was in full force during OKC's 105-94 victory is an understatement.
LIL WAYNE BUYS COURTSIDE SEAT
Lil Wayne got to see a Thunder playoff game inside The Peake, after all.
The rapper was sitting courtside for Game 1 of the NBA Finals between OKC and Miami on Tuesday night — after buying his own tickets, a Thunder spokesman told Yahoo! Sports.
Lil Wayne created a stir on Twitter and beyond when he tried to sit courtside for Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals game between the Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. The problem? Front-row tickets were sold out.
“Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena,” he tweeted that night. “Wow. Go Spurs.”
Lil Wayne and fellow rapper Mack Maine were posing for photos with NBA super fan Jimmy Goldstein in between the first and second quarters.
‘CALL HIM, KD' HITS YOUTUBE
The Woodward fans responsible for the YouTube sensation “Beard Like Harden” has created its latest video — “Call Him, KD.”
The video, which again was spearheaded by Chris Castor, parodies Carly Rae Jepsen's “Call Me Maybe.” It hit the Web Monday and already had more than 50,000 hits as of Tuesday night.
The chorus features the following lyrics: “Hey, just blew right past you/His skills are crazy/His number's 3-5/Just call him, KD.”
“Beard like Harden” quickly went viral after debuting last month, getting more than 230,000 hits.

@Powell2daPeople: You walked downtown in OKC today, nobody had business attire. They were Thunder casual. Never seen anything like it.
@RobLowe: Go #NBAFinals
@KSTiLLS4: Still stand w my pick. Thunder winning it all.
@MaryKayCabot : qb Weeden's prediction for NBA finals: "thunder in 6"
@tobinsmith: Come on #Thunder...team basketball and defense wins the ring...the King is no King...these kids rock!
@roddywhiteTV: Collins is a great player for the thunder just rebounds and plays D and can finish at the basket when needed
@RealSkipBayless: That clinches it: Kevin Durant is definitely better than LeBron. Durant alone might be too much for the Heat. Tonite, he was just too good.
SEEN AND HEARD
* American Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez sang the national anthem and received a huge applause after nailing several big notes on the song's money words of “wave,” “free” and “brave.” It was a beautiful rendition, and especially impressive considering Sanchez is just 16 years old.
* Actress/singer Kristin Chenoweth, one of the most famous Thunder fans, welcomed the crowd to Game 1 in a prerecorded video that then segued into the “This City” video montage.
* The NBA Finals obviously brings a slew of national media. One of the most recognizable, ESPN First Take's Stephen A. Smith, stopped to pose for pictures with fans as he was walking into the arena Tuesday afternoon.
* Oklahoma football signee Durron Neal was in the house Tuesday night, tweeting photos from his seats and “Energy area going crazy right now. I can't hear” just before the fourth quarter began.
