Thunder Bandwagon: No seat for Lil Wayne; Charles Barkley gets some love

The bandwagon did more than get back on track Thursday night. It turned into a party bus as Thunder rolled San Antonio.

The Thunder Bandwagon has another song to add to the road-tripping playlist.

Oklahoma City rockers The Flaming Lips remade their 1999 hit “Racing for the Prize”, calling it “Thunder Up: Racing for the Prize”. There's a lot of Thundering Up going on, but hey, these guys know what the locals want.

Charles Barkley hasn't always been nice to Oklahoma City, but the city sure was nice to the TNT analyst.

When he appeared outside The Peake for the network's pregame show, fans showered him with cheers and applause. One fan was overheard saying, “I hope he falls,” when Barkley climbed on a horse for a short ride onto the set, but there was lots more love than hate.

“Way to go, Chuck,” one fan yelled.

“Love you,” another hollered.

That wasn't all the love shown to Barkley. Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin presented him with a pair of cowboy boots custom-made by Loveless Boots.

Barkley's sidekick, Kenny Smith, looked a wee bit jealous.
