*We've got to start with everyone inside The Peake. Even when the Thunder was struggling early, people were on their feet. Then in the second half, it seemed like folks seldom sat down. It didn't matter if they were in the front row or in the highest seat in the arena.

What an atmosphere.

*The Thunder has been a hot ticket all season — but it might never have been more expensive than Wednesday night. At least one Thunder fan paid $210 each for a pair of tickets.

The seats' location?

Upper deck corner.

*Former St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa was spotted sitting courtside in the first half.

Not spotted in the front row: Lil Wayne.

What, too soon?

*A couple top-notch signs seen inside The Peake — “Pop wants nasty. Scotty wants Finals” and “Eva Longoria is a Thunder fan.”

Well played, folks. Well played.

OKLAHOMA VETS THUNDER UP

A group of Oklahoma World War II veterans were in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday for the anniversary of D-Day.

They went as part of the Oklahoma Honor Flights program. They met with Senator Jim Inhofe and Representative James Lankford. They visited the World War II Memorial. They took in the sites.

But what got them most excited perhaps?

The appearance of a Thunder flag and a chance to tape a video message to the Thunder.

Perhaps it was just coincidence the veterans were all wearing Thunder-blue shirts.
