Thunder dials long distance with best 3-point outing of season

Coming off its worst 3-point outing of the season, the Thunder followed with its best.

Oklahoma City drained a season-high 12 treys in a 117-106 win over Philadelphia on Wednesday night at the Ford Center.

In a loss to Houston on Sunday, OKC was 1-of-15 on 3-pointers.

"We have great shooters. You’ll have off nights,” said Oklahoma City’s Jeff Green. "We continued to work on our shooting. We knew this type of performance would happen again. You could see the way we responded tonight we’re all capable of knocking down shots.”

Kevin Durant was 5-of-7 on treys to account for nearly half of his game-high 33 points. Durant entered the game shooting 24.2 percent on 3-pointers after shooting 42.0 percent from long distance last season.

"I don’t see myself as a 3-point shooter,” Durant said. "I can contribute to the team besides shooting 3’s, shooting pull-up jump shots and getting to the line. But it was good to get my 3-ball going. We worked on it a lot yesterday in practice. Everybody got extra shots in, and tonight they fell for us.”

For much of the game, it looked like a 3-point contest.
