Thunder forward Kevin Durant: "After Game 6, I made sure that I attacked the basket this game. I also made sure I tried to get to the free-throw line and score. My teammates did a great job of putting me in those positions to be successful."
Memphis guard Tony Allen: "There are things we need to work on as a team but as long as we're all together and use this as a steppingstone. … I mean, look at the Oklahoma City Thunder. Last year, they lost to the champs (Los Angeles Lakers) and now they're playing for the Western Conference Finals. We can just use them as an example as we move forward next year."
Memphis power forward Zach Randolph: "Durant is a special player. He's one of the best players in the NBA. He works hard and he's one of my favorite players. I have to give him kudos and a lot of respect because you see what he does. He's just relentless."
Thunder coach Scott Brooks: "It was a great series. I give our guys a lot of credit, also. They stayed with it. Going in to this series, we knew that it was going to be a tough challenge for us. We were up for that challenge, and we continued to fight."
Brooks: "The biggest challenge was to keep them out of the paint or off the offensive glass. … They are big. They are strong and very skilled down there."
Randolph: "(Russell) Westbrook played good today. He played facilitative ball and passed the ball and got a lot of people involved, but he's a great player, too. They have two great players and they played good tonight."
Memphis coach Lionel Hollins: "The whole game came down to we didn't make shots. Whatever run we made or were doing, we were shooting 39 percent. That is improved from our 36 percent at halftime. We gave up 17 points in transition from turnovers. We also lost the rebounding battle."
Memphis guard O.J. Mayo: "I think the main thing is home-court advantage. You go into a Game 7 and both teams are tired. Both teams are exhausted about talking about each other. I thought the crowd did a great job of giving them some energy. They made some shots tonight and they won. They played a great game."
Allen: "It was a great season for us and something we can build on. Nobody is happy with a loss. Obviously it hurts. But, at the same time, I can look back and know that we had good moments throughout this year. There is definitely room for improvement."
Hollins: "I'm very proud of my team and our organization. I am proud of where we have come from, where we are now and where we are trying to go in the future. Even as disappointing and hard as this loss is, we had a heck of a run and we are looking forward to next year."
Brooks: "It is another good step for our organization. Our goal was, just like all the other 29 teams, to win a championship, and we are no different. We know that the process is long and hard and you can't skip steps and you don't get there quickly. To get to the conference finals is a great opportunity for our group of guys that keep working hard and keep believing in the team."
Brook on Dallas: "They have a good team. They will present a lot of problems. We are going to enjoy this one for a few hours and then we will have to get back and look for ways to beat Dallas. We know we have to beat them at their place. We are excited about the opportunity.”
Durant: "I thought at the beginning of the second half we were too anxious. We knew that we had a good chance of pushing up the lead. However, we kept our composure and guys made big plays."
Durant: "I think Nick Collison was the best player tonight as far as helping us get this win. Nick Collison and Kendrick Perkins did a great job of controlling the floor."
Mayo: "I think when Rudy Gay gets back (from shoulder surgery) we'll be a better team. It'll definitely help us on the perimeter as far as scoring and I think we'll be a better team."
James Harden on Kevin Durant: "He was on a mission tonight. Obviously we were at home but I think everyone had it in their eye. We focused on getting stops and winning the game."
Harden on Dallas: "Dallas has a great bench. They have veterans who can shoot the ball. All we can do is to do what we have done all year which is playing basketball, playing our style and going in there and putting up a tough battle."
Thunder guard Thabo Sefolosha: "We worked hard for this. It is well-deserved. We fought throughout the whole series. It is a great feeling, but Memphis did some good things and I tip my hat to those guys."
Randolph: "The series was tough. Every game was a challenge trying to come out and play the right way and be ready to play physically. It's a physical game. We had to be ready to compete for a win. Every game was tough."
