Think Thunder tickets are worth something?

Secondary ticket market Vivid Seats revealed that the Oklahoma City Thunder has the highest median ticket price for the second half of the NBA season at $185 – beating out larger market teams such as the New York Knicks, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers.

In the preseason, the Knicks led the league with a median ticket price of $200. The Thunder came into the season ranked third at $170, but has seen an uptick in ticket worth as it vaulted to the league’s best record in the first half.

Two of the five most expensive games in terms of median ticket prices involved the Thunder as well. Houston vs. Oklahoma City on Dec. 29 ranked third at $345 and the Christmas Day Thunder-Knicks clash at Madison Square Garden was fourth ($335).

And that Houston-OKC game on Dec. 29? No big deal. Just an average ticket price of $1,026 – more than $300 higher than a Heat-Knicks New Year’s Day game at Madison Square Garden.
