Thunder notebook: Blue beats White

Heading into Friday night's Blue & White game at the Yukon High School gym, Thunder coach Scott Brooks said he wanted an intrasquad scrimmage that was intense and evenly matched. Mission accomplished, and then some.

"Oh, (it was) more than I ever expected," Brooks said after the Blue beat the White 57-53. "I thought our players did a great job of bringing effort, playing together and playing hard."

Playing for the Blue: Kevin Durant, Thabo Sefolosha, Eric Maynor, Cole Aldrich, Tweety Carter, Byron Mullens, D.J. White and Jerome Dyson.

Playing for the White: Russell Westbrook, Jeff Green, Longar Longar, Serge Ibaka, Morris Peterson, Elijah Millsap and Royal Ivey.

James Harden and Daequan Cook were held out of the scrimmage with mild concussions after banging heads at Thursday's practice. Each player's status is uncertain.

"We're going to test them again (Saturday) morning, but they've improved," Brooks said. "We just have to re-evaluate."

Also sidelined were Nenad Krstic (right index finger) and Nick Collison (left knee). Both are out indefinitely.

On each seat was either a blue or white T-shirt. Fans were asked to wear their shirts and cheer for the color they wore. ... The loudest roar came on an ally-oop pass from Westbrook to a trailing Green.... No official statistics were kept for either team, but Ivey had three steals.... Quarters were a 10-minute running clock. ... The national anthem was sung by Yukon Boys Quartet. ... After having eight practices and a scrimmage in five-day span, Thunder players will have Sunday off.
