Giving the arena a Time Square-like presence, the gigantic video board is a major revenue stream for the Heat. The largest digital LED display in the Southeast region of the country, the Heat can promote upcoming events on the board and sell advertising on it that can be seen by cars on the highway.
Westbrook, O’Neal avoid ejections
Late in the first half, Russell Westbrook was whistled for an offensive foul against Mario Chalmers. After the play was over, when Jermaine O’Neal walked toward him, Westbrook pushed O’Neal in the chest. O’Neal responded with a right-handed punch that hit nothing but air. Officials called a double technical but did not eject either player.
"That was just us both being competitive, us playing the game in the heat of the moment,” Westbrook said. "I’m just glad my teammates were there (backing me up) and we came out with the victory.”
