Thunder general manager Sam Presti said he also hasn’t spoken with Smith’s representatives but said he values Smith’s place on the roster.

"If it comes up I’ll listen to what they have to say, but that’s standard,” Presti said. "That’s part of my job. I think Joe brings great value to our team, and he’s someone that has done a nice job for us this year. So we definitely have interest in him and continue to value him.”

NEW ARRIVALS
Thabo Sefolosha and Malik Rose are expected to join the team today and be on the bench for tonight’s game at Golden State. Both players might suit up, but Thunder coach Scott Brooks said it’s unlikely either will play against the Warriors.

"We have to evaluate each guy’s conditioning and evaluate our need,” Brooks said. "But a practice will help. It’s not ideal, but one practice will help. But we’re just going to evaluate and see how they feel. We want them to be comfortable also.”

Sefolosha will wear a No. 2 jersey. Rose will wear No. 9.
