Durant was asked if it’s the first time he set up the Thunder center for an alley oop. "I think that’s the first alley oop of his career,” Durant said, smiling. "He got up on that one, too. It got the crowd going and got everybody on the bench going. It was fun to see.”
Off dayThe Thunder did not practice Monday. Coach Scott Brooks gave players the day off before the team left Monday afternoon for tonight’s game in Salt Lake City. Riding a four-game winning streak, Oklahoma City played five games in eight days. "There’s no doubt we needed the day off,” Brooks said. "We needed to rest our minds and our bodies and get our energy back. We need to get our defensive disposition back and start playing better defense.”
66ers make playoffsThe Tulsa 66ers, the Thunder’s D-League affiliate, qualified for the playoffs. The 66ers open a best-of-3 series against Sioux Falls on Thursday in Tulsa at the BOK Center. Game 2 against will be held Friday in Sioux Falls. If a third game is necessary, it will be held Sunday in Sioux Falls.
