Kevin Durant grabbed 12 rebounds against Indiana, posting his eighth double-double, tying Russell Westbrook for the team lead. Durant leads the Thunder in rebounding (7.0 average per game). Last season, he averaged 6.5 rebounds.
"We knew they were a team that liked to get up and down,” Durant said of the Pacers. "They shoot a lot of 3’s and have a lot of long rebounds. I just wanted to get in there and help the bigs.”
SCOUTING THE KNICKS
Mired in a 3-13 slump to start the season, New York has gone 12-7 the past five weeks to climb back into the Eastern Conference playoff race. Six Knicks average double figures.
David Lee is among the NBA leaders in double-doubles (17). Nate Robinson has averaged 19.3 points the past four games after being benched for a month (14 games).
"They can score so many different ways,” said Thunder coach Scott Brooks. "They can shoot 3’s. They can drive and get points off their drive-and-kick game. David Lee is as good a rebounder as there is in the league.
"Now that Robinson is back in the mix, they have scoring off the bench. Coach (Mike) D’Antoni is a tremendous offensive coach.
