The 6-foot-10, 280-pound Perkins matches up well against 7-foot, 285-pound Lakers center Andrew Bynum. They have met in two of the last three NBA Finals.

"They're going to be expecting the Perkins option to do a good defensive job against Pau and myself," Bynum said. "I guess that's going to be his role here, and we look forward to playing him again."

Lakers coach Phil Jackson is curious himself. "We'll have to wait and see," Jackson said. "It's going to be real interesting to see how they come along with that."

PEERY BENEFIT

Sunday's auction/raffle for Oklahoma City police officer Chad Peery raised $13,600. Peery was seriously injured off-duty, trying to break up a fight while watching a Thunder game on Feb. 15. Peery reportedly suffered a broken neck and is paralyzed from the shoulders down.
